McCain Targets Romney In New Ad
Romney Campaign Accuses McCain Of Going Negative
LONDONDERRY, N.H. -- Eight days before the New Hampshire primary, Republican candidate John McCain had the state to himself Monday, hosting house parties and firing back at rival Mitt Romney with a new TV ad.
Romney has recently targeted McCain's votes on immigration in a television ad. On Monday, McCain bit back with his own ad, quoting newspapers anti-endorsements that urged voters not to choose Romney.
"The Concord Monitor writes, 'If a candidate's a phony, we'll know it,'" the ad states. "Mitt Romney is such a candidate."
